In the heart of the village of Vallouise, the Huttopia Vallouise campsite is an ideal destination for exploring the Hautes-Alpes, one of the sunniest regions in France.
If you are a fan of adventure, mountains and wildlife this campsite is perfect for you!These tents include an indoor living/dining area, with a fully kitted out kitchenette complete with hot plates and plenty of crockery and utensils.
Sleeping quarters are: one double bedroom, and a second bedroom with two single beds. So you can enjoy the wonders of camping with the comfort of real beds! Please bring your own bedding or hire these as an additional extra.
Clean and well maintained shower block facilities are just a short stroll away, complete with family friendly areas.
The large wooden terrace with its awning is the perfect setting for al fresco dining any time of the day.
Order your bread and pastries the night before, so you can wake up to freshly baked bread and breakfast treats, delivered by the local bakery – the perfect way to start your day!
During the key summer months (July and September) the campsite hosts a Kids Club with a range of craft and game activities, or enjoy a fun evening with performances, magic shows, astronomy, and acoustic concerts… magical moments to enjoy as a family!
There is plenty to do on site with new heated swimming pool with a wooden terrace open all year round! You can kick back and relax after a hike in a sun lounger or enjoy some shade under a parasol, whilst lounging around pool side.
The volley ball court, table tennis, pétanque, tennis courts and football pitch will keep everyone entertained, for the lovers of the outdoors you can enjoy walks, mountain biking, canoeing trips down the river Onde, white-water rafting on the river Gyr, climbing the Glacier Blanc and Glacier Noir, rock climbing near Ailefroide… or you can even go paragliding and enjoy the stunning views it offers over the valley… and land just at the foot of your tent…
Get together on the terrace of the snack wagon for cold drinks or to share a homemade pizza together on a warm summer evening.
The central Lodge is situated in the main stone building and is open year round. You can enjoy the library corner and curl up with a book, or play some board games, or simply enjoy a drink with family and newly made friends. There is also a tourist information point here, and you can also purchase tokens for the laundry block. The reception has an internet point and free Wifi to use at the central lodge and on the terrace. If you are low on groceries visit the grocery corner to purchase any additional items you may require.

Features & FacilitiesTwo modern and well-maintained wash blocks, plus a baby-changing area. Tennis, volleyball and petanque courts, 2 swimming pools ( one of them built in 2018 and a children playground. The 'camper's corner' at reception sells food and camping basics, fresh bread and croissants are available daily and you can hire BBQs and fridges. There's a central lodge with free Wi-Fi and a lounge area where you can have a coffee, read or watch TV or play boardgames, and a snack wagon open during July and August for drinks and food. There's a laundry room for longer stays and a motorhome service point for those with the right wheels.
ActivitiesVallouise is a perfect base for walking, mountain-biking and all kinds of outdoor activities. The nearby Ecrins National Park abounds with a diverse range of wildlife that includes golden eagles, or you could try a canoeing trip down the river Onde, white-water rafting on the Gyr, climbing the Glacier Blanc or Glacier Noir, or rock climbing near Ailefroide. For something really different, why not try paragliding down form the mountain over the valley and landing at the campsite?
Food & DrinkYou can order fresh bread or croissants for breakfast each morning, and there's a small grocery shop on site and a snack wagon serving pizzas and salads throughout July and August. Otherwise there are plenty of places to eat in Vallouise, among them the excellent Table de Nany (0033 4 9221 8432), in the centre of the village in Riere Pont.
