From the Eco Park, our wild camping area has spectacular views down to the beach at Porthtowan and over to Atlantic Sea, as well as to St Agnes Beacon and the copper mining valley of Tywarnhayle.  From the naturally beautiful and peaceful site, a cleared mule track (used in mining times) leads down the valley towards the beach, so you can spend the day surfing, lazing and enjoying all the local area has to offer without needing to jump in the car.

The Mineral Tramway cycle path is just down the road, offering a great day out exploring the mining heritage of this stunning part of the world from the North to the South coast at Devoran.

On the park we have solar and gas powered showers, brand new toilet & shower block and a washroom for pots & pans – which also has plug sockets, a mirror and a kettle. We also have a freezer in the atrium for ice blocks.

Campfires are encouraged in the cob courtyard and fire pits and barbecues are welcome on the campsite as long as they are kept off the grass.

Whether you are looking for a laid back family holiday, participating in a course, attending a wedding or celebration or volunteering on one of our environmental projects, the wild camping here offers you a unique and affordable place to stay. We love having well behaved dogs on the park, and pets are welcome across our grounds. Please keep dogs on the lead.

Getting There

With a SatNav, the site's postcode should bring you directly to the entrance. Follow the A30 straight into the South West and exit left at the Blackwater Bypass, where you see signs for the A3047. Follow this right over the bypass and continue straight on Westway until you reach a T-junction with Rose Hill just outside Porthtowan (roughly two-and-three-quarter miles). Turn left here, choose the left hand fork onto Chapel Hill and the site will be on your left shortly after.

On arrival, you will find the reception at the far end of the car park on the right, above the barn. To access the campsite, drive to the left of the building at the far end, and follow the path and signs round to the left. Hook-up pitches are clearly marked on the right side of the camping field. All tent and car pitches are on the left of the camping field, and bell tents are situated at the bottom of the field.
