The Drovers Hut has sleeping for 5-6, including a king size bed, single bunks and a trestle bed which pulls out from under the main king size bed.  There is also room to pitch a tent below to decking for extra friends and family or older children.

It has a gorgeous country kitchen with Belfast sink, solid oak worktop, dresser top, two burner gas hob, a table and benches and a wonderful wood burning range stove with oven and hobs above.  Lighting is powered by solar panels and candles for added ambiance.  The kitchen is equipped with pots and pans, utensils, crockery and cutlery.  We have also added a games cupboard with cards and board games.

All the beds have comfy memory foam mattresses, plump pillows and are made up with quality linen.

Below the decking is a wood fired hot tub and eco loo.

The drovers hut is fitted out beautifully, in a lovely peaceful corner of the field, has a decking area which has two gates to secure it for dogs or children, outdoor seating, table, fire pit and bbq.

About Westland Farm

How often do you get to stay in a hand-built home? At Westland Farm you can enjoy camping or glamping whilst feeling like you’re part of a working farm.
Set amidst the lush, rolling countryside of North Devon, on the edge of Exmoor National Park and close to some truly spectacular beaches, ancient market towns and country pubs, Westland Farm is a little piece of heaven we wish to share with you. We are a small friendly site, and wish to keep it that way.  We allow plenty of space for camping, no crowded fields even at the busiest times and some beautiful views of the countryside.  We welcome families who we love to show our animals to, explain how they are kept and welcome help with feeding time.  During the lambing season, which we plan around the Easter Holidays, guests are welcome in the lambing shed to watch and even help if they wish, there are often tame lambs to bottle feed and the more hands on types have even helped to bring new lambs into the world.  We are responsible for several young people who now have an ambition to become farmers, after helping in the lambing shed during their holiday here.

Glamping Site Facilities

Campfires allowed (Make your own fire pit), clean washrooms with 2 toilets and 2 showers all with central heating, fridge-freezer, mobile-charging point and fresh eggs available from the farm’s hens. Kids are welcome to help feed the pigs, lambs, hens and horses and collect eggs straight from the hens next boxes.   Farm produce available during high season.   There is also a glamping option, a yurt (sleeps up to 5), and two shepherd huts (Shepherd hut sleeps up to 3 and Drovers hut up to 5.  Drovers hut has a private hot tub.  All the camping and glamping is off grid, but there is a very clean well equipped, spacious toilet and shower block with all year round heating, free hot water, plenty electric points for phone charging, hair driers ect.  A large fridge freezer, laundry, and during high season a small farm shop working on an honesty box system.
