Activities
The campsite is right on the edge of Pembrokeshire Coast National Park with easy access to footpaths, including trails down to the nearest beaches where you can link up with the famous coastal trail. The Manorbier peninsular offers some of the most secluded sandy beaches both east and west of the main surf beach – Precipe and Swan Lake Bay are particular local favourites. Nearby Tenby is an excellent old walled town to visit, with a harbour and expansive beaches at low tide. For something non-beach related, though, drive 5 miles south west to Manorbier Castle (01834 871394) a Norman keep located in the a beautiful old village. The curtain walls and round and square towers are now partially ruined but well worth a visit. Along with the castle, there are also gardens, a dovecote and mill to explore.Food & Drink
Waves Italian restaurant (01834 870085). The bright blue painted Cross Inn (01834 844665) in Penally is a mile away and has a fantastic, traditional, seaside pub atmosphere. The Plantagenet (01834 842350) in Tenby is a high-end option set in a romantic 10th century building, the oldest in town. Stroll across the meadow to Bubbleton Farm Shop & Café (07929 334826) on site while the Lydstep Tavern (01834 871521) is not too far beyond.Family Friendly
If you like your camping small-scale and simple, then Becks Bay is, as Mary Poppins wold say, 'practically perfect in every way'. There's loads of spaces but very few pitches and the beach is within spitting distance. Don't spit though. Mary Poppins wouldn't like that.
