Glamping at it's finest. Le Camp's penthouse safari tent Mount Kenya brings the spirit of Africa to the South of France. With spectacular valley views, show-stopping sunsets, space and privacy. Luxuriously furnished on the inside with a locally made king size oak bed (which can be split into twins on request), sofas, writing desk, wardrobe, full size single beds for children. On the large raised deck, relax in safari chairs as you take in the views and enjoy the aroma of fresh herbs which adorn the deck. Guests staying in Mount Kenya can enjoy cooking in their own private outdoor kitchen, hand built by the owners and fully equipped with solar powered fridge, gas 5 ring hob, sink, bbq, crockery, cutlery, herbs, spices, oils and plenty of storage, counter space and a shaded dining area. Soak in the valley views as you shower under the trees in your own private bathroom (complete with composting toilet) which has been designed in harmony with the surrounding plants and trees. Mount Kenya can sleep up to 2 adults and 5 children.
Le Camp is situated in the stunning South-West of France, a little off the beaten track, just an hour and a half north of Toulouse. Set amongst the trees, this is a true haven of peace and tranquillity and a safe place for children to run free, explore the campsite and make new friends.
There is a large covered seating area with an open fireplace for chilly nights.
The natural swimming pool has the purest water, and is 100% chemical free, filtered only by gravel and plants, ensuring you have a fantastic swimming experience. Dive in from the pontoon or float along whilst admiring the dragonflies which hover over the water, and the frogs which sit on the rocks surrounding the pool. The beach area of the pool provides a great spot for children to explore nature and paddle around in.
For those who wish to explore the surrounding region, the Aveyron valley offers a host of activities from hiking trails to mountain biking, and canoeing down the river whilst stopping off in stunning picnic spots along the way.
The medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val is a 15 minute drive from Le Camp. The village was awarded France's third favourite village in 2015, and was also the setting for Stephen Spielberg's 2014 movie "The Hundred Foot Journey", starring Helen Mirren. Here, you, can lose yourself in the maze of ancient alleys and canals, have lunch or dinner in a gorgeous restaurant overlooking the river, spend a few hours browsing in local artisan shops and independent boutiques or enjoy the award winning Sunday market.
The beautiful fairytale villages of Cordes-Sur-Ciel and Najac sit atop nearby hills. The city of Albi - famed for its Toulouse-Lautrec museum and impressive cathedral also offers a plenty of culture and many streets to explore. Within the surrounding area, plenty of local markets with organic food make for a fun and exciting trip out. The area is well known for it's road and mountain cycling routes, hiking, canoeing and extreme sports.
Ultimately your holiday at Le Camp will be one of pure relaxation, with luxurious comforts, with peace and tranquillity guaranteed.

BBQ and salad/herb garden to help yourself to. The natural swimming pond is fully fenced with a safety gate. Pets are not permitted, but the site itself has two friendly dogs and cats, plus two handsome goats to feed (not to mention all the wildlife on site!)
ActivitiesThe Midi-Pyrénées region is home to over a dozen villages (officially listed as ‘Les Plus Beaux Villages de France’). This is more than almost any other region in the country. There are over 1,000 climbing routes around the Gorges de l’Aveyron and the landscape is criss-crossed by way-marked walks. Head to the nearby St-Antonin-Noble-Val to enjoy a spot of kayaking, hiring your boat for the day from Location Canoe/Les Pieds dans l’Eau (0033 563 68 24 80). Alternatively, buy a fishing licence from a local newsagent and do some angling for trout from one of the area’s many bridges. Further afield, the Forêt de la Grésigne offers the chance to experience the largest oak forest in Europe. If it rains, take a short drive to the UNESCO World Heritage town of Albi and check out its Toulouse-Lautrec museum (0033 563 49 48 70).
Food & DrinkIn the nearby medieval town of St Antonin Noble Val, characterful La Corniche (0033 563 68 26 95) is exellent and the views are knock-out. Or seek out the riverside Manjocarn Café (0033 563 68 25 85), hang out of choice for all the local climbers and so laid back its unbelievable, with great locally sourced and produced food.
