The Owner Says
Situated down a pathway in a small private field, Hen Cloud Shepherds Hut nestles close to the tree line on the border of the field. With stunning views from all windows across open farmland and the densely wooded valley, this traditionally styled shepherd Hut is the opportunity to retreat from the world in modern luxury.
Access to the welcoming hut is via two wooden steps onto a raised platform. Set at the same height as the interior of the hut; thereby giving you a flow of outside to inside and an additional sense of spaciousness. With seating and a table for two of this can be your outdoor dining area or just somewhere to sit, ponder and soak up the atmosphere.
Entrance to the hut from this platform is through fully-glazed double French doors. Once inside you can appreciate the attention to detail which creates this relaxing space. Predominately one room, the full size en-suite is accessed through an internal door to ensure full privacy. With premium oak flooring laid throughout the open plan space and tongue and groove walls; the use of traditional building materials all adds to the sense of calm and tranquility in the hut.
As you come into the hut to the left is the dining and seating area which can comfortably seat up to four. Here the secret is also revealed as to how this space is unusually spacious for a traditional Shepherd Hut. Release a securing bolt and the table collapses enabling the wall to come down onto the seating area, revealing a supremely comfortable king size bed with a bespoke memory foam mattress for ultimate comfort and relaxation. Included in your stay is all bed linen for the premium feather and down duvet and pillows. Behind the bed is a shelf perfect for holding your book or a drink, a USB charging point and a further window giving you another aspect onto your new world.
Directly opposite the entrance doors is the fully equipped kitchen where you can do as much or as little cooking as you please. Containing a gas oven, hob and small fridge, we have endeavoured to cater to every need - there is dining equipment for four, essentials like salt and pepper, cooking oil, cling film and foil all provided. Tea, coffee, filter coffee, sugar and milk sufficient for hot drinks are included for your use.
Ready laid for your arrival, the small log burner packs a mighty punch. With a ready supply of logs literally on the doorstep the combination of the log burner and the sheep's wool insulation ensures that the Shepherd Hut is kept snug and warm for the duration of your stay.
Finally, of great importance is the en-suite. With full size power shower with hot water, heated towel rail, hand basin and flushing toilet all bathroom linens, handwash and shower gel are included in your stay.
