The Owner Says

Blencathra is one of our extra-large pods with an electric hot tub for four people. There is an  additional sun room for socialising and enjoying the spectacular views all year round.  The sun room opens out onto a decked balcony area which leads around to the hot tub which fits four people comfortably and is heated to 40 degrees.  The pod has a double bed which is made up ready with luxury bedlinen, duvet, pillows and throws.  The private bathroom has electric shower and heated towel rail with bath and hand towels.   
There is a Television with HDMI ports and a breakfast bar and sofa.  The kitchenette has a full size fridge with freezer compartment, combi microwave oven, two electric hobs, kettle and toaster.   Crockery, cooking utensils and Tea towels are provided along with washing up liquid and anti bacterial spays and ant-bac hand gel.
The sun room has a dining table and four chairs for all year round dining and socialising.

Outdoors there is a decked balcony area with chairs and to the side of your pod is a picnic bench and firepit all with spectacular views!  BBQs are available to hire upon request

We are spoiled with lots of amazing country pubs in the vicinity; The Stone Inn, Hayton is a short walk away. The Sting of Horses, Faugh, The Queens, Great Corby, The Duke of Cumberland, Castle Carrock, The Pheasant Inn, Cumwhitton are all about a 5 minute drive away. The market town of Brampton offers further pubs and cafes and a range of take-aways.

Getting There

From the M6, leave at junction 43 and take the A69 towards Newcastle. Continue on this road for about four miles until you reach the traffic lights at Warwick Bridge. Turn right here for Heads Nook, then left for How Mill/Castle Carrock. Hayton Hideaways is on the left after a mile and a half.

If arriving from Newcastle and the east, take the A69 towards Carlisle until the traffic lights at Warwick Bridge. Turn left then follow the instructions above.

The nearest railway station is at Carlisle which has great connections. Buses to Hayton are infrequent and your hosts recommend a taxi from the 24-hour taxi rank but if you call and ask very nicely Dan might just pick you up.
