The Owner Says
The hut sleeps four in handcrafted oak bunk beds (each bunk a full-sized double). Gas central heating will keep you warm if the nights are cold, and in the heat of summer the oak windows open to let the breeze in. There are two plugs for your electrical items, and two USB ports to charge your devices along with mains electric lights overhead.
The cosy en-suite offers a private hot shower, soft towels, and complimentary toiletries. The en-suite has a lockable door and is heated by a chrome towel rail.
You’re welcome to take the chairs and table outside if you wish to wander a little further, or use the picnic benches and log stools directly outside the huts. Our festoon bulbs light the little grove, with solar lights lining the drive. A camping lantern is provided to light your way along the paths if you’re exploring, but we don't think you can beat a campfire at night (kits are available for £5.00).
While we include tea-and-coffee making supplies, there are no cooking facilities in the huts. However our campfire kits can be exchanged for a BBQ kit if you’re looking to embrace the rural setting. The Hall has a breakfast and lunch time restaurant, and almost across the road is a lovely Italian called Mezzo which opens in the evening.
Our shepherd's huts are arranged in groves, which can be hired exclusively (subject to availability). Groups are welcome; so why not book a weekend away with friends?
