Re:treat is a luxurious safari lodge situated on a raised platform with a large timber decking giving you fantastic views of the surrounding area.
The Safari Lodge has 3 bedrooms, comfortably sleeping 7 adults, also we can accommodate one infant in a travel cot (please select in extras). There is a quirky 'den bed' which has a king sized bed, a triple bunk room (double bed with single above) and a beautiful four poster bedroom. You will find plenty of space and shelf space available as well as a handy area under the den bed for storage. Beds are made up on arrival with fresh bed linen and hypo allergenic quilts.
The private shower room & cloak room can be accessed at the rear of the lodge, it has a large shower with piping hot water with paraben free hair and body wash products. It has a picture frame window giving you brilliant views across the field. In the other bathroom there's a flushing toilet and sink.
A bath towel is provided for each person staying and the shower room has a hand towel and bath mat too.
The large wood burning stove is at the hub of the open plan kitchen, dining and sitting area providing heat on chillier nights. The kitchen is equipped with all the essentials you need such as crockery, cutlery, standard kitchen utensils and cooking pots and pans. There is a supply of coffee, tea, sugar and basic condiments such as kitchen roll, foil and cling film. We also have fitted a stove top coffee and tea maker and small solar powered fridge.
You’ll find an array of outdoor games and board games at Re:treat as well as a wide selection of books.
The raised front veranda of the safari lodge has a wood-fired hot tub for your sole use only, sit back and relax watching the sun setting each evening. You will also find an outdoor seating area on the decking with a tripod BBQ to enjoy alfresco dining with friends and family, why not purchase one of our BBQ hampers?
Adjacent to Re:treat is a pond and meadow, feel to relax by the pond with a good book or have a go at pond dipping (nets provided)
A 25 minute walk away directly from Re:treat is our nearest pubs, The Cross Keys, The Jolly Cooper and the The Star and Garter in Silsoe.

Choose from a wide range of indoor games and board games or take your pick from the outdoor games chest of favourites including swingball, rounders & cricket. There is also a pond dipping kit for the pond and a pedal tractor and trailor for younger guests. A box of toddler books, toys and tableware are also available free on request as well as hire of a travel cot and highchair.

We’ll provide you with an initial supply of wood for the wood burning stove and wood fired hot tub. Additional wood and charcoal can be purchased.
The wood burning stove is the hub of Re:treat and can be used for keeping the lodge warm on chillier evenings and as a traditional oven with its own hob. There is also a tripod BBQ for cooking up a feast or toasting marshmallows.
We can also provide you with a wide range of extras ranging from home cooked meals, locally sourced BBQ & Breakfast packs, reflexology sessions and fishing the adjacent pond. We are also able to offer afternoon teas which can be requested & pre-ordered with local pop up tea room 'The Tea Cup Inn'.
Re:treat is off grid and is fitted with solar low level lighting.

Re:treat Glamping is taking bookings for its first season which starts on the 30th March 2018.
Re:treat is a peaceful, secluded setting however very occasionally if the wind is blowing the wrong way low level road noise may be heard.
Glamping Site Facilities
The safari tent sleeps 7 adults in a four poster, triple bunk (double bed with single bunk above) and a quirky king sized ‘den bed’ with a space beneath for storage or play (an extra cot bed is also available). A large wood-burning stove supplies heating to the dining/sitting area as well as a fully-equipped open plan kitchen with butler sink and copper taps. Shower room and washroom are accessed via the rear bedrooms (complimentary paraben-free toiletries provided). The washroom features a sink and proper flushing toilet. Outside, the raised front veranda hosts the wood-fired hot tub. Solar lighting, tripod BBQ, and seating are also provided. A firepit is also available for hire. There’s ample space for outdoor games – cricket and rounders equipment provided as well as board games, books and a welcome pack containing maps and local info. The pond stocks carp, tench and rudd and fishing permits are available upon booking.
