The three cabins at Milly’s House all connect together to make one large Tardis like cabin. One section boasts a double bed with 180-degree glass to maximise the amazing views while you enjoy breakfast in bed which has been expertly made by your partner. The second section holds a large lounge/reception area which has a lovely log-burner and more spectacular views. There is a full working kitchen in the third section with a gas cooker & hob, along with a fridge and a small freezer section. This section also has the large and luxurious, private bathroom consisting of a toilet and huge shower. The building will have linens supplied and can sleep up to three as the sofa doubles up as a single bed. It’s a pet-friendly place and has a lovely southwest facing deck overlooking a small stream with complete privacy.

About Milly's House

Eco-conscious private cabin, sat by a trickling stream on a working Hertfordshire farm, boasting a luxurious interior and unspoiled countryside views

Situated in rural North Hertfordshire, Milly's House is an off-grid, eco-friendly, hybrid cabin. Built using three upcycled caravan trailers, the three sections connect together with tunnel footbridges that weave in and out of a private woodland with spectacular views across the North Hertfordshire countryside. This secret escape is completely private and not overlooked by anyone. The large southwest facing deck is a suntrap and a perfect place to relax next to the small steam and the sound of running water. A train ride from Kings Cross St Pancras and only a 35-minute drive outside Cambridge, it’s the perfect place to disconnect from city life and recharge the batteries or to use as a base to explore the many walks and local villages.

Glamping Site Facilities

The cabin sleeps 3 comfortably with a double bed, and a sofa in the dimensions of a single bed. Bedding and linen provided for 2, so anyone booking for 3 will need to bring linen for the extra person. 1 bedroom, 1 lounge, 1 reception area – and the final room houses the kitchen and bathroom. All sections are connected by footbridges which weave around trees. Log burner inside, fully-operational kitchen with a gas cooker, hob, and fridge with a small built in freezer section. Running water, a lovely big private shower and a composting toilet. Chess board, cards and a selection of books are available in the building, which is slowly being built up to become a book swap library. Large, south-facing deck perched over the edge of a small stream. No sockets, but there are lights and a 4G phone signal. Despite the remote, peaceful location, you’re not always alone: Peregrine falcons, owls, and plenty of blue tits fly overhead. The farm also has a pheasant farm, so there are lots of pheasants wandering around. Unfortunately, Milly's House can't allow outside fires as this is a working agricultural farm, and it's not sensible to start fires next to a 10-acre field full of dry wheat!
