Authentic Mongolian hilltop yurt enjoying lovely views of this organic Devonshire farm.
Our yurts are genuine Mongolian yurts, furnished to give a cosy, rustic feel with comfortable beds, rugs, cushions, chairs and storage. All this surrounds a central wood burning stove that helps keep the yurt warm and snug. This 6m-diameter yurt will sleep up to 6 people, ideal for a family or a real treat for a couple. Each yurt is positioned in its own secluded spot with plenty of space and privacy and has its own outdoor seating area with barbeque facilities.
There is 1 double bed, 2 singles and a double futon (bedding provided), plus the woodburning stove to keep it comfy and cosy. Each yurt is allocated its own fridge and food storage box, while the nearby barn has a fully equipped kitchen, plus toilets and a shower. Hot water is provided by solar panels on the barn roof which also generates the electricity for the barn. Adjacent to the barn kitchen is a snug room with sofas and chairs where you can relax and unwind. Here you will find information about the farm and things to do in the surrounding area, and you can browse our collection of maps and guides to help plan local walks and excursions. We also have a selection of games for all ages as well as arts and crafts so that kids can unleash their creative talents (or just make a mess!). Our small farm is tucked away, providing a quiet haven with stunning views by day and stargazing at night, and to make things even easier for you, we can offer 'hampers for campers' providing a selection of organic food and drink, ready for your arrival.

Luxury camping on an idyllic, organic Devonshire farm
Summerhill Farm lies in the heart of the beautiful mid Devon countryside, 2 miles from the village of Yeoford, on the Two Moors Way near Crediton. As the name suggests the farm is perched on a hillside below which the river Yeo flows through the farm's species-rich meadows and woodland. Three spacious Mongolian yurts provide comfortable accommodation, all of which are furnished to a mid-range specification. Sleeping up to 6 people, they are perfect for families, but are equally suitable for couples or groups of friends. Relax and enjoy our quiet and peaceful slice of Devon countryside in our special, tucked away location, providing stunning views by day and stargazing at night.
Glamping Site Facilities
Every care and thought for guests has been put into each of the 3 yurts and 2 bell tents. They come with everything but the kitchen sink. Campfires are allowed in fire pits (1 for each abode, as well as a BBQ and picnic table). Plans are afoot to erect another yurt further down the valley, with its own eco-shower and compost loo to keep it self-contained, so watch this space. If you’re staying in the bell tents, which are furthest from the farm, it’s a bit of a trek to the facilities. Marked walks take you around the farm’s many acres, including down to the river at the valley floor for a splash or stone skim. Maps of the farm’s boundaries are available from the communal barn.
