Under the Milky Way is set in a beautiful rural area, nestled in about five acres of gently sloping and flat fields. It is a glorious sunny spot where the loudest sound is birdsong. At night there is no light pollution, so the stars really do shine. Our comfortable and secluded site is perfect for a family get-together around a campfire or as an enchanting and romantic setting for a couple’s retreat.

The Shepherd Hut is a new addition built along traditional lines with steel wheels and a curved tin roof. Inside there is a wood burning stove, comfortable double bed and bunk beds with a third trundle bed for an additional small one. The gently curving ceiling and old oak beams add a warm and cosy feel while the fold down table and chairs, solar lights, candles, coat hooks, rugs and general storage space makes your stay very comfortable.

It sits alongside a covered wooden decked area perfect for cooking and outdoor living equipped with a camping gas cooker, all cooking utensils, crockery & cutlery you will need, cool box, barbeque, picnic table .

The Shepherd Hut has its own private bathroom/toilet with underfloor heating, so you can leave your toothbrush here for the duration of your stay.  The bathrooms are only a short away from the Hut up a gently sloping field. This is where you will also find the washing up area.

If you required bedding & towels, please choose as an extra.
