The Owner Says

Daisy is one of our six genuine Mongolian yurts sleeping up to sleeps up to six people and comes equipped and furnished for guest stays. The yurts may be authentically Mongolian on the outside, but on the inside each yurt benefits from every modern home comfort you can think of, making for a 21st century glamping haven.  Comprising one double wrought iron bed, two Victorian day beds, all sumptuously dressed with fresh luxury linen, the yurts also have their own electricity supply for lighting and charging all of your devices.  They are deceptively spacious, so we had plenty of room left over to throw in a small stove, complete with a  Mongolian style kettle, so that you can still enjoy your morning or evening cuppa in bed. The piece de resistance has to be a beautiful wood burner which we have positioned right at the heart of the each yurt, allowing the heat to radiate outwards in all directions. An additional two zed beds may be added at a one off cost of £10 per each additional bed and travel cots are available on request.
We believe we have thought of everything to make your glamping stay with us the best it can be, so our yurt and camp facilities are of an exceptional standard.  Each yurt boasts its very own outdoor picnic and sitting area, comprising table and benches,  parasol, barbecue and private fire pit. You can light up the barbecue anytime of day or night without bothering your fellow glampers, or simply relax and marvel at our breath-taking countryside and spectacular starry sky around the communal fire pit on a chilly night.
To guarantee that your glamping experience at Caalm Camp is perfect in every way, we have laid on the following:
  • Crisp white linen sheets and fluffy towels.
  • Free wood for your wood burning stove and the fire pit for the duration of your stay. Wood for the pizza oven will be charged as an extra if used for private hire.
  • The key to your own private shower room in the Old Haybarn, exclusively yours for the whole of your stay. Beautifully tiled, spacious and complete with under-floor heating. It has a spacious shower area, toilet, vanity units with cupboards and hand dryers. The Old Haybarn is a maximum of a one minute walk from any yurt.
  • Your own individual fridge in The Old Haybarn.
  • Use of a spacious modern kitchen with ovens, hobs and microwaves, fully equipped with pots, pans and utensils. Perfect for preparing anything from tea and toast to a hearty breakfast!
  • Communal lounge and dining area in the The Old Haybarn, with toys, games and a TV.
  • Outdoor play areas for the children, with swings, slides, wendy houses and a trampoline.
  • Indoor games room with table tennis and pool.
  • Travel cots and highchairs can be provided on request for a small additional charge. We just ask you to bring your own cot linen.
  • We are able to organise pizza evenings at a very reasonable cost, if you don’t feel like cooking or going out to eat.  Just tell us about your favourite toppings.
