The Owner Says

The tent is furnished with a 'proper' kingsized bed, wood burner for any chilly nights, feather duvets, pillows and come with good quality white linens and towels. Outside on the deck you have a table and chairs alongside your own BBQ. We provide (we hope) everything you need for a relaxed stay -candle lanterns, a torch, firelighters, charcoal, and some hot water bottles and extra blankets in case it gets a bit chilly. We also have fire pits to use - toast marshmallows and just chat. The best conversations happen in the dark! Baskets of logs are £5.

There is a small kitchen area with all of the crockery, glasses and utensils you could need along with a fridge, kettle, microwave and toaster to conjour up a breakfast of scrambled eggs on toast! If we have enough eggs from our chickens, ducks and geese you are most welcome to get creative.

The shower room has a shower better than ours in the house (we are a little bit envious!) and it is heated if it needs it. We also have proper flushing loo's - no compost toilets here!

There are sockets for the hair straighteners (you're Glamping and we consider straighteners an essential!) and for charging the phone although we actively encourage our guests to switch off the devices and just sit for a while. Look at the view and take a break from the hustle and bustle of modern life.

Activities

The historic Wye market town of Ludlow boasts an enchanting mix of medieval and Tudor architecture. Try and visit for the annual Ludlow Arts Festival every June. Vibrant cathedral city Hereford has a wealth of gorgeous Jacobean attractions – be sure to drop by The Old House (01432 260694) and The Hereford Cider Museum (01432 354207). The site is ideally placed to acces the Black and White Trail and numerous other walking and cycling routes. Berrington Hall, Croft Castle and Hampton Court Castle are all fabulous NT properties with beautiful grounds. Pretty market town of Ledbury is about thirty minutes away. Hereford Cathedral with it's world famous Mappa Mundi and the Cider Museum are great for overcast days. Malvern and the home of Elgar are about 40 minutes away with the Malvern Hills a popular place to walk.

Food & Drink

If you can muster up the energy to head out, Hereford is about 12 miles away and  home to some AMAZING independents. It's had a huge surge and has transformed into a bit of a foodie heaven - The Beefy Boys, Sensory & Rye, The Bookshop, Thaitastic Thai, Broad Street Pizza, The Burger Shop, King Street Kitchen - all delicious!

There are plenty of decent pubs nearby.  This part of the world is famous for it's ales and of course Herefordshire is the home of cider (sorry Somerset!) Be sure to sample a drop of Wye Valley Brewery 'Butty Bach' – Welsh for "little mate" and Newton Court's Gasping Goose!

We're always happy to help find you a place to go - whether you just fancy a fish & chip supper or want somewhere a little more special to celebrate an occasion.

Getting There

Situated in the peaceful Herefordshire countryside between the teeny villages of Ivington and Aulden. About ten miles from Hereford and the same from Ludlow. Five miles west of Leominster (say 'Lemster' or the locals will look at you oddly!)

If you feel like easing your way off the chairs, there are lots of local walks, stunning National Trust properties nearby, the famous Black and White trail or you could head off for foodie adventures in Hereford or Ludlow – both are around 13 miles away. And don’t forget – you are in the home of proper cider so it would be rude not to visit a couple of local producers while you are here.

The nearest railway station is Leominster. Moira  or David are happy to pick you up.
