Glamping pods at the foot of Malvern Hills, surrounded by fishing lakes and wildlife
Sometimes campers want accommodation that matches the natural beauty of their surroundings. While the DIY feel of pitching your own tent and creating your own spot in the great outdoors is unrivalled, it's certainly not for everyone, and even seasoned campers need to take a break every now and then for a truly restful getaway. Enter Bluebell Retreat Glamping, which provides three wooden pods with a rustic aesthetic that perfectly complement the woodland they're nestled within. For those who want the idyllic views and the sprawling walks without the unwashed hair and rough sleeping, this trio of pods within their own private meadow provide the ideal mixture of seclusion and comfort.

Bluebell Retreat is situated at the foot of the iconic Malvern Hills, overlooking a pond and the surrounding commons. The quaint pods feature a double bed situated in front of a windowed doorway that opens out onto the meadow; open your curtains in the morning and be immediately greeted by the Worcestershire woodland. Each pod's decking allows for relaxed bistro dining, where you can enjoy your morning coffee situated among the local wildlife, including adorable muntjac and pheasants.

If visiting in a group of six, you will have the site all to yourselves, with you able to enjoy your surroundings exclusively with your small group. While ideal for a couples' retreat (no kids under the age of 14 are allowed), it's also something of an angling hotspot. The six Leigh Sinton Coarse Fishing Lakes that encircle the site let you cast your hook for a small fee. Clean off from a day of reeling in some big catches in the modern and stylish washroom, tucked away behind some trees in a minute's walk from the site, with the heated shower and flushing toilet in its plush interior being a far cry from the typical portaloos and compost toilets you typically find in a campsite.

But while Bluebell Retreat may feel so embedded within the Malvern countryside that it could be in the middle of nowhere, there's plenty to see and do nearby. Take a trip to the Malvern Hills, a three-mile walk from the site, and embark on the End to End linear walk that encompasses all of its summits. Visit the Malvern Theatre in the titular spa town for a spot of arts and culture, or visit the Grade I-listed Great Malvern Priory to learn of its history. Or, failing all of that, take a 20-minute walk and sink a few in the local Royal Oak pub, before tucking into a wood-fired pizza from the outdoor The Old Dough Hook van.

Set away down a single track lane in rural Worcestershire, the pods are within a private meadow and woodland setting and are surrounded by countryside and farmlands. Just next door 6 beautiful fishing lakes, walks through woodland and views of the Malvern Hills.
The site has recently undergone extensive refurbishment after being closed for many years.

All our pods are equipped with luxury beds, one king (The Burrow) slightly set back from the others, one double (Conker Cabin) and also a twin (Sleepy Hollow) - so take your pick (duvet, fitted sheet and 1 pillow per person is included on stays of 2 nights or more) any extra bedding feel free to bring along.
All fitted with super quiet fridges, kettle with 2 cups. Along with a wall mirror, fan, electric heater, 3 electric points, mini dustpan and brush, quirky cupboard space for some clothing and an umbrella - hopefully never to be used! Not to mention your own private decked area, bistro seating for 2 with lovely views of the meadow and pond. Each pod is provided with its own bbq (charcoal not included) and utensils, and the communal use of the firepit (wood provided) with various seating areas around the meadow. To the front of each pod there is a porch light and a flood light to the rear with additional sensor lighting along the woodland paths leading to the kitchen / washrooms operated by a remote control which each pod is provided with to illuminate the wood chipped pathways.

The kitchen / washroom lies within the woodland a short 1 minute walk with it's 'Hansel and Gretel' attributes pleasing to the eye, peering through the trees. Here it offers 2 first class toilets and 2 beautifully stylish tiled showers within a quaint washroom area all equipped for you. You just need to bring your towels and toiletries.
The kitchen area is basic, providing a small washing up area with running hot and cold water (washing up liquid and cleaning pads included) microwave, toaster, additional communal fridge, variety of plates, cups and cutlery for 6 all accessible under the sink.
The kitchen and washroom has central heating throughout.

The perfect glamping experience

Breathtakingly Beautiful place. Had all 3 pods booked for 3 couples so had the place to ourselves. Ian and deb were really helpful and made sure we had everything we needed throughout the stay. The pods themselves were so cosy and warm and the beds were really comfortable, everyone commented on what a good nights sleep they had. The toilet and shower room were spotless. The kitchen was even stocked with all the cutlery and plates etc that we needed so didn’t have to bring anything. Will definitely be booking again we loved it. Thankyou
