The Owner Says
Paxton House, in the Scottish Borders, is home to four beautifully appointed Canvas Cottages, all with ensuite bathrooms and views across the River Tweed. These bespoke under-canvas rooms each sleep 2 adults and up to 3 children (dogs are welcome too).
Located within the wooded grounds of Paxton House, Paxton House Glamping offers an amazing and unique way to stay in the Scottish Borders on the banks of the River Tweed. Our four Canvas Cottages feature king size bed and up to three camp-beds for children, hardwood floors, custom wooden furniture, cooking facilities, full length mirror, clothes rails, blanket chest, and much more. A wood burning stove provides more than enough heat to keep you warm.
Each of our canvas cottages has its own, private ensuite bathroom, with fully functional incinerator toilets, porcelain sinks with hot and cold running water, instant hot water shower, large mirrors, and plenty of towels, toilet paper and all the usual hygiene products you would expect to find in a luxury boutique hotel. We also supply plenty of complimentary biodegradable toiletries.
Our Paxton House location provides a magnificent backdrop for strolls and more vigorous walks within the grounds and along the river, while Paxton House itself has on display one of the most extensive collections of Chippendale furniture in the world – available for tours. If you don't want to cook, then the Tea Rooms are open for breakfast and serves homemade food and drink all day during the summer.
